This was an amazing finish to this series! I loved the entire storyline! I love all of Renee Rose’s books I’ve read so far!

And it's a good one. Real adversity for this pair, each having a harsh Russian and tragic background. I'll admit, my rating is because the book feels rushed (although the plot calls for little time for romantic development) but if you enjoy the Bratva genre and some very steamy activities this book will be a winner!

Kira comes to America in search of her nephew, but ends up getting more than she bargained for when she stumbles upon Maykl in a building known as the Kremlin. This is a dark mafia romance and is the ninth in a series, but can be read as a standalone (as I read it).Overall, this book had a great flow and I really enjoyed each reveal as the story progressed. I enjoyed both Kira and Maykl as characters and really loved how Maykl was standoffish and dark with Kira being the only one to find a different person underneath the tough façade.I would definitely recommend for fans of dark, mafia romance!

Like all the other books in this bratva series, this one had great characters, danger with a conflict to resolve, tenderness, and steamy chemistry. Kira is in Chicago to claim her sister's body and find her missing nephew. She hates the bratva and blames them for everything that has gone wrong in her life. She decides to infiltrate the local bratva not knowing that this one is full of good people who are trying to make up for bad things. The characters from the previous books are there as she falls for Maykl, the last single man in the series. He holds her prisoner when he learns of her deceit but his torture is pleasure not pain for her.

I couldn’t put this book down! It’s a quick read and I loved reading about maykl and kira. I fell in love with maykl . I enjoyed reading this book and it was an excellent read i wish didn’t end.

I enjoyed this read a lot!When I read the blurb for this book I didn’t expect it to start the way it did. And I loved that!!It’s all damaged people who appear to be bad but actually are good! And a MMC who is a little bit of a softie inside of that scary tattooed shell.I wanted the story to end with a little more depth to the nephew story line. That’s not to say the ending wasn’t good, because it absolutely was!

I totally enjoyed reading this book was worth my money .Thank you for writingsuch great novels I have read most of your books and I always feel so much of the characters created in your books are so much intertwined. Thanks for writing this story.

Because they cannot find him they take Kira’s older sister Anya as a token of the debt to be repaid. Leaving Kira in a blacked out puddle on the floor. Enter Maykl, also thirteen, handed a pistol by Peter, one of the lower leaders of the Moscow Bravta. He took care of the body of Maykl’s father in exchange for teaching him the ways of the gang. Now Maykl has the task of proving his loyalty to the Brotherhood. The killing of the gambler Grigor Koslov, Kira’s father. Jump sixteen years later, Kira is in Chicago looking at the body of her sister on a morgue slab. Years of drug use have reduced her beauty. All because of the Bravata that has used and abused Anya. Kira must think of a way inside their Kremlin highrise. That Maykl is the Gatekeeper of. She uses the tale of I have been here less than a day to find my sister and have nowhere to go line. And get in she does. But what is the toll for letting Maykl let her in? And what ensues in finding Ayna’s son?

I cannot recommend this series enough. If you don’t shy away from the darkness of the mafia you will love this series. I am so sad to see this series come to an end, but I am hopeful that Renee Rose will give us more mafia men to love! If you love a protective men, hot reads with lots of steam, this series is for you! They are super protective of their “women” and children, and put their safety before theirs. Wonderful finale to the Chicago Bratva family.

Having read the other books in this series it lived up to the series. Love these characters and the setting.

Bittersweet, 9th and final in The Chicago Bratva series. Maykl and Kira’s destiny’s have been heading toward each other since 13yrs old. It’s a little gritty with a lot of heat! I was rooting for these to from the get go!

I loved the Chicago Bratva series. Renee Rose wrote a powerful series of confident, strong men and beautiful loving women. Didn’t want it to end.

This book the gatekeeper was a great book. The finale to the story. Two warriors fine love. Kind brought both series to a nice end. Need a book with a upda5e on the next generation

I hadn’t read any of the books in this series but I may have to now. I loved Maykl! He made choices in order to survive and I totally get that. Kira, I wasn’t so sure about to start but I started to like her at the end. She was hellbent on saving her nephew, who really didn’t need saving.

This book is the final book in the series and I'm gutted....I'm going to miss the Chicago Bratva!!!! I've loved absolutely every single book but at least I can reread again and again

As usual, renee delivers another story interlaced into the Kremlin. I love that each story can be ready independently but enjoyed more if you have followed from the beginning. Who would have ever thought that the hero and heroin's lives would be so intermingled. That one even could chance to lives for ever. It also warmed this mama's are to know that our little orphan had someone who did care from his old world. Amazing. Renee is a writing goddess

love the series! I have been waiting for this book! I hate to see this fantastic series end but I have no doubt the author has great books coming soon. As for this book it was spectacular! I loved the characters and their story. It took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I was on the edge of my seat as the story unfolded. Kira and Makyl are the stars of this book. They both have their jobs to do and have their own expectations of what will happen. Kira is looking for something very precious. Does Makyl have the ability to help her? At what cost? Will they let their pasts and their opinions/assumptions overshadow their feelings for each other? Do these two have a chance at a HEA? Is everything as it seems or are other factors at play? No spoilers! Check out this book and find out the answers. It is worth every minute you spend reading. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. It is a must have book and series in my humble opinion. Enjoy! I sure did!!

Excellent read. I had trouble putting it down. This is a story about the Chicago Bratva head of security and a police officer who comes from Russia take care of her deceased sister’s body and find her nephew. Lots of plot twist and turns keep the story moving forward. It is a great read.

The reality of what is true is determined by the facts and how each situation works out !! This adventure explores all possibilities but love triumphs in the end !!

Once again Renee has done a great job with her characters. This series is awesome. You will enjoy everyone of the books and then crave more. She is definitely an author to follow. I voluntarily read this free book for an honest review.

I hate to see the series end, but this was a good way to go out. Kira was desperate to find her nephew following the death of her sister. Her desperation sent her straight into what she considered enemy hands.This was a fast paced, fun story to read. I really liked Kira. She was tough and determined to take care of her family. I hated to see her mistakes with Maykl. Maykl was likeable as well, tough, but still gentle. The story itself was well written and tough to put down. It was defintely a five star story.

Really could not put the book down, read it super-fast. It’s the story of Maykel & Kira, Maykel is a rough around the edges soldier in the bratva who just so happened the meet who he thought was a down on the luck female and she turns his world upside down and steals the Gatekeeper's heart.The hurdles that they must overcome only make their bond and relationship stronger. I love how this series has a way of being tied together with the rest of the Chicago bratva family.It will make you want to want to read the rest of the series to see how the other Bravata were brought to the knees by the females that captured their hearts. Renee Rose is an amazing author and look forward to what she brings us next.

I love this series, but was not sure this story would work, after reading the first chapter. Silly me, I should have remembered it was a Renee Rose book and good time was in my reading future. Other than the quick resolution to the issues facing Kira and Maykl, I found this book a great addition to the Chicago Bratva series.I received this book as an ARC and wholeheartedly recommend it and any other book in the series for a hot read.

I am sad that thr series is over...but it has been a great ride. This last book does not disappoint. Main characters are well flushed out with such tragic backstories but wraps up nicely. Love this author!

Really enjoyed every heart racing twist and emotional turn. Highly entertaining, emotional and action packed adventure filled with dangerous and engaging charters, witty dialog, emotional twists and exciting turns.

This is my first read in this series although not my first Renee Rose book. So I started at the end, now I can go back and start at the beginning. Def a fantasy Bratva story. Although it starts with acts of violence there really isn't that much physical violence in the story...well until the end. Strong FL and hard on the outside soft on the inside ML. It's a bit of a HEA for almost everyone. Like many of her stories the walls are up and it's up to are main characters to break them down and overcome their own preconceptions.
