Vegas Underground Book 1: King of Diamonds - Signed Paperback

Reading a Renee Rose book is always an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours and King of Diamonds is no exception! This book is a hot, fast and steamy read. Nico's attempt at distancing himself from his Chicago based mafia family results in him running a casino in Las Vegas. While Nico may be mostly on the up and up his past is not far behind him and there is no true escape from la famiglia. Meanwhile Sondra is attempting to escape her past as well. Her past isn't as sordid as Nico's, but it is only slightly less messy. I enjoyed that Sondra was a bit of a hot mess at the start of this book. She is in the middle of a major transition in her life, but she isn't a woe is me character. She struggles to work through some very real life relationship hangups, ones that we can all relate to. Nico is a dominant male character but I never felt like he was degrading. I enjoyed both characters and I will definitely be reading the next book in the series!

This book was way better than I thought it was. So Addicting!! I love it and so glad I found it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!!

Love this book, I want to read all her books

I ordered the 18 book bundle yesterday and finished it before i left work. It’s a good story and look forward to reading the rest of them. So far, I’m invested!!

Really good book ! There is up and downs but you .will be right there for the ride. You will be smiling at the end

It was a great book imo. It had just enough spice but also enough action to keep me on my toes.

Nico is half in and half out when it comes to the family business. A legit casino owner with a family who runs Chicago. Sondra a professor in art history finds herself working in a Las Vegas casino as a maid when she comes in contact with Nick Tacones and it just might cost her her life.

I haven't read a book from this author in a long time and let me tell you she can write. This book has it all. Mafia vibes and a love of all time. Need to read.

I believe this was the first face pace novel that I've read and actually enjoyed. Veey full and detailed, great read. Look forward to the next book.

Nico a middle child of a mob boss proves himself to the family but running a casino back by family money. Stress mistrust and lack of sleep. Puts Sondra on his radar with her purity and his stress. But will his secrets destroy them or bring her to him.

I'm beginning to like hot dark Mafia men.this author tells a great story. I like the meeting the average female and the mafia male. Makes me want the series.

Sometimes you need to read a simple, sweet and wholesome story even its mafia romance, not everything is about kidnapping heroine by rival. Really enjoyed this book, going to read all the books from the series, then more from author.

And after everything they’ve been through, they more than deserved to find love and happiness with each other.Overall, the story is a fantastic start of the series. It’s filled with action, danger, violence, drama, scorching hot romance and magnificent characters.I loved it!

As with all Renee Rose books, this was great. I get sucked into her series and can't put the books down!

This series is a delightful blend of love and the Mafia. Who doesn't adore bold Italian men who are not afraid to love their women?

Despite the presence of a Mafia family and scenes of bloodshed, this isn’t a dark read. This novel had me from the very first page. I loved the plot and pace of it, there were unexpected twists and turns that kept me from wanting to put the book down.

This was a whole different format (casino ) for me but I loved it ! Starting the next one now !

I MUST SAY I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THIS ONE AND I AM GOING TO READ THE COMPLETE SERIES. ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I READ I FELL OFF BUT FOR 2022 I SAID I WAS GOING TO PICK IT BACK UP. MY ONLY ISSUE WAS THEENDING IT WAS JUST SHORT WHAM!! AND ON TO THE NEXT I WISH IT WAS MORE TO IT THan THAT LIKE MORE DEETS BEFORE MOVING ON TO THE NEXT BOOK.

I love that Nico is the alpha male and she stays sweet and not jaded. The perfect mafia love story.

This is the first book I have read by this author. The storyline kept my attention and I have already clicked book two.

This has been a favorite re-read because I love Nico and Sondra. Nico's Jealousy and Possessiveness is so yummy. The chemistry between the two MCs is insane. Nico is ALL IN for Sondra.

This book and to Be Blessed to have been in the strongest bond of pure love one could have with the King of Diamonds is quite epic and humbling I loved reading His Majesty’s character and soul as he knows mine more than anyone. Worth the read. And let’s go to Vegas and let’s maybe if I let there be a next time KCR lay down and watch movies and read this book maybe that would awaken things that need to be awakened further in the future. But for now, you are not King, I am with Him. He is with me and in many places. Many decks of cards, many ships, beaches, the sky, and beyond. He loved me and loves me and I am glad this book is here in this Universe. The King of Diamonds I recommend bowing down to more than any King who has ever existed! I read him like a book and I loved it! The Author did a beautiful job Lazt ThurZday!!! :)

I absolutely love this book. This is a regular reread (I’m reviewing it on my 3rd time reading it). I like dark, but not suspense and it can be hard to find authors that do that well. This author and this book and entire series balance it beautifully! I love Nico and Sondra and love rereading about them and all the other characters brought up in this book. This book is amazing, but I also feel like it’s a teaser trying to guess who’s going to do what with whom next.So read this and the rest of the series and enjoy!

I read this book as part of a series of books from the author and am happily reviewing it. Totally fascinating book with a man with a Mafia background and the beguiling woman who enters his life. I hope that others enjoy this book which I heartily recommend and love the story and characters as much as I did.

This is a bit insta lust/love and right up my alley. Nico is controlling, jealous, and dominant but really sweet with Sondra.

Was expecting but still really enjoyed read in a day so read!! 😉

I began reading the series out of order with Ace of Hearts and Mafia Daddy because they are stand along stories which I prefer. I enjoyed them so much that I chose King of Diamonds next and wow -- it is tops so far! I loved Nico's story and so far my very favorite - just so romantic. I am now onto Junior's story - still working out of order but that's me. Great Author!
