I truly enjoyed this book! I loved the banter between Lucy & Ravil. Their love story is definitely not ideal with assumptions made that caused hurt feelings & of course the kidnapping but it all worked out. I love the HEA! On to The Fixer!!

Read it in one night.

It was fine, I didn't mind the story line, and the sex was relatively well written. I found the chapter where they were at the birthing class a bit creepy because of how perfect the births were depicted instead of including some realism to the actual trial of childbirth, which are often messy and, at least, somewhat difficult for many women. And the crying by everyone was a bit much for my tastes at the end of the videos. The one asinine detail that really threw me out of the story though was the pierogi. There is a Russian dish called Piroshki, which is exactly what I imagined with the description given of a meat pie baked in an oven and not pierogi, which are a soft dough that are boiled and then maybe fried in a little butter. Overall, it was a fine dark romance story, I enjoyed the premise of it, but it wasn't really my cup of tea.

This book was excellent! I enjoyed every moment! I can’t wait to read the next one! This was so raunchy and I loved it!

First book by Renee Rose I have read, I will be back for more. Fast paced quick read that kept my interest through the entire book.

I was hooked from start to finish. I love books from Renee, always captivating! I look forward to the next book in the series.

This story starts after the “deed” has been done. Actions have consequences and Lucy is 5 months into hers. Prepared to raise her baby on her own, she wasn’t prepared to see the sperm donor walk into her office and than he in her apartment ready to take on the part of partner and parent. He was going to make her fall in love with him, but he wasn’t ready to fall in love with Lucy.

This book is amazing way to start off the series it has triggers but as long as you pay attention your fine

The book was intense but so fun!! I love how strong the heroine is and she is precious about baby. Ravil is just the perfect hero

Loved Lucy. She's a strong, sassy female character. Ravel is a typical alpha hole but sweet to Lucy. Can't wait for the next book

Although the book is considered a stand-alone, one is directed elsewhere to find out about the baby's birth and their future together.

This is my third read by renee and I love it.The writing is addictive I'm so excited to read more

Is was a amazing, I could not stop listening to it was so amazing

I gave it 4 stars but I really want to give it 3.5 stars. I was not a fan on how the story started. I like when I get to know characters so I can get invested in them. Ravil and Lucy ran into each other with in the first few chapters, she's already pregnant, and she's brought to his place as a "prisoner". It all happened so fast. I like the characters and there is so much potential but it fell short for me. I also don't like when books are called dark mafia when there's barely any action at all regarding the mafia. I really like the side characters and am tempted to read their stories. However, I'm afraid I won't be invested in them the same way I wasn't with these two. I have to say, the spice was on point though! Overall a good book if you do not need an in depth mafia type book.

Loved everything about this book. Just the right amount of dark for meAnd never mind the spice level! Chef kiss! Would have love a little more dramatic danger since it’s a mafia book but I still loved it!

First the tropes are: oops a baby, mafia captive, submissive, possessive at first look, and the family you make. I like that Renee is giving us a FMC, Lucy, who is self sufficient, smart, strong and wants what is best for her baby. What is even better is that the story has a great flow, moving from beginning to end. More importantly, Ravil, MMC, is a leader who is also considerate and thoughtful. Now something we see in most ruthless Mafia men. The spice in this book is steamy with a look back to how they first met. It all blended beautifully, past/present, lust/love, and captivity/choice. I love it. Enjoy.

Wow! So I had this book for a long time and had only read 14%. I saw an advertisement on Facebook for this book and it looked good only to find I had started it a few months back. I restarted and didn't put it down! I loved everything from begining to end. Also, thank you for a complete story. I can't wait to read more Renee Rose!

What a way to start a series I just found this author and dove right into this series and I am in love! I love the Bratva I love all of the characters especially the twins omg they are me laughing. I love me an OTT possessive man and a fierce and sassy heroine. Phenomenal read and I am driving into book 2 The Fixer now!!

Renee does it again. She takes a dark hero and seduces us all with compelling, real moments. Renee continues to be one of my favorite authors.

I did enjoy that the FMC was not young (not that 35 is "old") nor a virgin. It brought new vantage points and understanding to the character. The romance between the two mains was good. The book was well paced. Most books I have read with a secret pregnancy usually has the child already born when the father learns about the child. I think I prefer that route as it give the book more complexity. With that being said this was a fast and enjoyable read.

Renee Rose is a new author for me and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the book so much. The story is well written and the author included characters that the reader could easily become attached to. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, as I absolutely love a HEA!
