When Sam comes to Ernie's garage for a part, he never thought he would find his mate, let alone one with a kid. Clio is older than Sam and sees him as eye candy and only good for sex. Furthermore, Clio must protect JT at all cost. Sam makes a deal with Clio for a no strings attached fling. Sam agrees thinking he will change her mind. Clio is attracted to Sam but, she has been burned before. As Sam continues to show Clio he is more than he appears, old wounds are opened. Clio finds out Sam is a wolf shifter and was sent by his alpha to get information on her kid. Sam is devastated when Clio walks away from him. It brings back old hurts of not being seen as worthy. Both must learn to trust and let go of the past. Overall, this was a fast and entertaining read.
