To set up an arranged marriage and fall in love as soon as he sees her, now that’s special, to know you are doing it to protect her from someone else who doesn’t have her best interest at heart, now that’s a sacrifice you’re willing to make because the innocent comes first. Just brilliant, the story and how it’s put together is fantastic I could read it again.

Renee does it again! Her fantastic story telling continues with the next generation in the Chicago Bratva. A great story with plenty of spice!

Fast paced and riveting. Literally could not put it down until I finished it. Best read in a while. Would recommend to everyone

Prince of Control is aptly named. Ben is a total control freak, someone who needs to manage everything and everyone in his life. So when his father asks him to marry his friend’s daughter to keep her safe in their bratva world, she becomes one more thing to manage—until he sees her and realizes she’ll mean much more to him.

This is a true insta-love tale on the part of the hero. He’s basically gone for her without knowing much about her at all. Lara takes longer to adjust to her situation, mainly because she doesn’t know why Baron has married her, which ends up causing more difficulties than either might expect.

Rose knows how to write these stories beautifully by now, having done so in her wonderful Chicago Bratva series. This is the start of basically Chicago Bratva: The Next Generation, as the characters are the children of the protagonists from the first series. But I struggled with this read.

I think it’s because the characters are all college students, yet they’re running their own home with spy networks and kink dungeons and all sorts of things that made all the characters feel like they were in their 30s rather than 20 years old. It was hard for me to believe they were college students just learning to be on their own in life with all they were doing.

Baron is also called Ben or Benjamin, and that got rather confusing. I also wondered why he didn’t just ask Lara’s father if he could tell her the truth about why they married due to the difficulties it was causing him for her not to know. This couple builds their relationship through the physical side, and Rose writes so the steam fairly radiates from the pages.

This was a 3 ½ star read for me that I’m rounding up to 4 stars due to the strength of Rose’s writing. She does mafia romance so well.

Totally loved this book. So pleased some of the old characters had returned. Can’t wait for the next one.

This is a dark academia story. It is a very good read.

The characters were compelling, complex and well matched. The plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was well thought out and developed. Recommend.

I'm really excited to see how the next generation of the Chicago Bratva has grown up and has their own stories to tell. Oh boy! The MMC showed that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Just like their parents, their marriage started off a bit rocky, but much like his father, he knows exactly how to make you swoon. Nothing can stand in his way when it comes to the woman he calls his own.

Highly entertaining enemies to so much more journey that is filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling turns. Was an edge of your seat hold on for that crazy curve read from beginning to end.

Renee Rose definitely knows how to hook you from the beginning to the end and its so hard to put it down once you start reading. This is a next generation storyline and you don’t have to read the first to be able to read this book as it easily fills in the gaps but for those of us that have been here since day one, this was amazing start to the next generation. It was fast paced, the characters are so realistic and the spice is chef’s kiss. Can’t wait for the next in the series!

This was a great start to a new series! I loved the push and pull between the main characters and the HEA. Definitely recommend this one.

I loved the whole Chicago Bratva Series, which is the Predecessor of this book. "Prince of Control" is a thrill to read from first to last page.The relation of all people in this book to the original Series is clearly mentioned at the start so it's a joy to read again about all the people i came to care about. Looking forward to more of them.

This was such an engaging book, it was impossible to put down! The storyline was awesome and it had a fast-paced plot, which are my favorite, I hate when things get dragged out. I love how the author ties her series together, but you are able to read the books individually without having read the previous book and you won't be lost. The spice is chefs kiss, all of Renee's books are worth your time to read. Highly recommend.

This story was so so so good! Chicago Bratva is one of my favorite Renee Rose series and I was super excited to see she is writing a spin off! It's really fun to meet the new players in the story and catch up with old favorites. Baron and Lara are a true love match despite the last minute arranged marriage. The steam is incredible and the love story fantastic!

Baron (2nd gen Bratva) and Lara are going to college in separate places. Lara's parents send her to be the wife of Baron as a means to protect her. He falls hard and fast at first sight for her and marries her without question. This story is a full throttle, fast paced story full of twists and turns and a whole bunch of you can't put this down. Loved it!

I love when the series continues. It is bitter sweet when a beloved series comes to an end but now we get to see a brand new series with the next generation. So many new and old characters we all love so much. As always, loved the writing and story telling. I devour everything that comes my way.

I loved the original series, so it is fantastic to catch up with them and get to know their children!

It was so fun to get a blip of the future.

I'm excited for the heat between Lei and Lili and we better get a Melinda and Anders book!
