Brilliant start to the series. I really enjoyed reading the story. Fantastic characters. What made this book particularly stand out for me, was the female character who unlike in so many other stories was not a snowflake with tormented past she couldn't get over. Our girl was strong and decisive and I absolutely loved her! Obviously a swoonworthy, dark-haired man definitely helped in the story development. One of my favourite books. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
